KD 49 XF759 6 dark screen but has sound

Hi all

So 16 months TV go dark soon as I switch on.

I get a menu for 1 sec then black.

I done an hard factory reset. No luck...

I can see the white light round the edges.

If I shine a torch can't see any image

I do get sound.

I assume this is commen.

On ringing Sony.. They said seem some power failure to a component...

Any idea what this is and where I can buy one... As it out of warrenty... Really cant afford a new TV

Unfortunately your options are limited. Their may be a locally tamed TV repair person that may be able to help or an expensive Sony Repair Centre booked in through Sony UK Support . Are you sure it is out of warranty, I would always expect a 5 year guarantee with Sony TVs.
