KD-49XG9005 SOMETIMES turns off as soon as it's turned on

Hi,

I bought a KD-49XG9005 TV just over 11 months ago. In recent weeks it has begun to switch itself off immediately after I've switched it on...but not all of the time! Generally, once restarted again it has been fine, but this is obviously an annoying glitch, and it appears to be happening more frequently as time passes.

Mistakenly, I forgot to register it at the time I bought it, so have only just done this retrospectively, but the warranty will expire on 8 December, and the only evidence I can find of having bought it then is in my bank statement, so am obviously anxious that Sony will try to not help!

Can anyone offer any help please?
