XR55A84J connected to Sonos Playbar with SkyQ

I have connected my TV to

Playbar using a Digital Out cable and set the TV to Audio system.
SkyQ using a HDMI cable

I have set-up TV box on the television to Sky Q

Sonos Playbar only accepts IR.

If I connect the remote using Bluetooth then I loose the ability to change the volume on the player but I can control the Sky Q box with the pause, play buttons etc.

If I disconnect the remote from Bluetooth then I can control the volume on the Playbar, but then I can't control SkyQ and I also loose voice control from the remote.

Interestingly the Sky Q remote can control the Playbar volume and also handle voice commands. So it would appear their remote can transmit IR and Bluetooth. Well done Sky.

I have seen written somewhere that the remote can't function with both Bluetooth and IR. Its one or the other.

Has anyone found a way around this?
