In certain applications you can set the default storage to the SD card, however this is entirely up to developer of the application, but you can't for example download applications directly to the SD card.

Hello again @wab2!

As I wrote in my earlier post, there are no settings to change the default download location of apps and so on to the SD card instead of the internal storage. If you go to Settings > Apps > tap on an app, check if there is an option to move this application to your SD card.

That way you can free up space on the internal storage.
