Xperia XA1 Ultra randomly crashes and restarts

I have an Xperia XA1 Ultra that randomly crashes and restarts every few minutes if I use various apps, cycle through settings, photos, etc. Basically during normal use. Seems like it started after the latest system update (48.1.A.2.21). If I try to delete apps or photos or make any sort of changes, when the phone eventually crashes and restarts all of the changes will be undone and everything is back exactly the way it was before the restart. Apps and photos that were deleted are back. Texts that were read are unread again. I've tried to do a factory reset but always the same result. Everything always reverts back when it restarts. It even crashes in safe mode. I've tried a software repair using the Xperia Companion download but after about 15 minutes, the progress bar is interrupted and it says Software Repair Failed. I've tried emailing Sony costumer support and followed their suggestions the best I could but I still can't get the Software Repair tool to complete. Took it to Geek Squad and he couldn't figure it out either and says I probably have to send it in to Sony to be fixed. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Can someone help me find a solution?

I recently had this problem too, I tried to reset my phone but it just crashed then it came back from what it was before, then it keeps on restarting and restarting. what is wrong with this phone

@Dabenn Resetting didn't help. Even Geeksquad didn't know what was wrong with it. After chatting with Sony, I just ended up sending it in to be repaired. I don't really know what caused it, I think it was one of the updates. You're probably going to have to contact Sony and tell them you need it fixed. That's pretty much all I can tell you.
