XA2 keeps shutting down. done the 2 minute reboot.

Hi Everyone,

My xperia XA2 suddenly shuts down. first I reboot it with the volumeup/power button combination and it started some times, other it shutted down after the SONY logo appeared on screen.

Then I tried the 2 minute reboot, it starts but keeps shutting down after a couple of hours.

Everytime it shuts down the date/time goes to a couple of months ago.

No SD card on it.

I tried resetting to factory and nothing. Now I´m trying the Sony Companion software repair but it takes an eternity... but still doin it.

The phone is 2 months old, I just bought it to take pictures and videos of my motorcycle trip around southamerica.

any idea on what else to do? I need a reliable phone on this trip.

Try using newflasher to flash the stock firmware while in flash mode (volume down + connect to pc). Flash mode does not require a unlocked bootltbooot.

Why are you suggesting to user "newflasher" when they can use Xperia Companion ?

I can´t turn it on. I had plugged it to my computer, wall, different cables, the 2 minute reboot, and nothing, not even a small vibration or light. The only thing the phone does, when I plug it to my computer and press the power button for a while, the computer makes a sound like you plug something, but it does not recognize it, phone does nothing. I had left it plugged to computer and wall for more than 6 hours and nothing. Any suggestion? Phone is new, has 4 months or less, I bought it to travel around southamerica and guess what, had lost already lots of nice places to shoot pictures.

You can keep your data with newflasher if you remove the userdata flash file

I've got this exact same problem, nothing works with it. I even sent it back for repair and they sent it back without fixing the problem.

The phone is just no good, if Sony would just admit it I could get a refund and get myself a phone that works
