topic XA1 touchscreen sensitivity issue for typing p & q suddenly fixed this morning - anybody else? in XA Series

This morning my XA1 that has had the touchscreen issue that many have reported seems suddenly to have fixed itself, at least for typing. I have been using the one-handed keyboard layout to get round this. This morning I looked at Facebook and the phone started to automatically type into a comments box - weird. Then, the one-handed keyboard went into 'ghosted positioning mode' and in trying to do something to exit that I ended up minimising it to the smallest size, so I then maximised it too the full size keyboard, as per normal. Anyway, I exited out of Facebook, but in doing so found the 'minimise all running programs' virtual button (right-hand, square) was a bit laggy. Anyway, exited the program eventually and I then discovered that I no longer have the P & Q issue (keystroke not made due to insensitive screen). I have tested it in text message and notes and all seems well. Can't understand what has happened, but happy. The only change that I have made has been to engage Nova Launcher night mode the previous evening. There has been no system update, according to history. So, has anybody else experienced anything like this. I pray that it stays fixed.

Edit: I did also change the wallpaper and have different ones for lock screen and open, before it was the same for both, but can't imagine that's it. They are stock wallpapers/themes, nothing that's not in the phone as standard.
