Screen scaling app to avoid unresponsive edges XA1 without root

I have a problem with the edges of my XA1, as it is unresponsive, the chance of getting a responsive hit on the egde pixels are as good as getting lightning from a mystical scroll(Summoners War).

Is there an app that will scale the screen so that I can actually use the edges? Most games and apps put crucial buttons on the edges and it's really frustrating to scribble on the edges in hopes that you will be able to continue or hit the required button.

One app I did see on the play store is Screen Shift, but requires root access. Anything else that does not require it will be welcome
