As you could see at the description page of XA2 Ultra, unfortunately, LDAC is not supported. You may use Aptx-HD, it's quite enough for hi-res audio as well. Also, WH-H900N are not that good that you'll feel the real difference between LDAC and Aptx-HD, especially with the fact you are using a mobile phone.

Hello,

I am using XA2 Ultra that has ldac greyed out in sound options fr accessories connected to WH-H900N headphones. Both are Hi-res capable and both have been updated. I have tried using developer options in the past but it would always revert back to aptx-hd codec and now ldac does not even show up in developer options. So it seems to me that ldac should be working as Oreo 8 supports ldac and headphones do as well. I would really appreciate some help in figuring this out. Thank you.

Thank you for your reply. I was under the impression that since LDAC was now included in OREO that it would be an option, and it was also listed under the developer options as a choice for bluetooth codec on the XA2 Ultra. I was able to choose it but it would always revert to aptxhd. The XA2 Ultra also just had an upgrade to support HI-RES audio as well. Being that the WH-H900N headphones are LDAC and HiRES compatible, as well as the phone, is there something I am missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
