I've sony help got me to try a couple of things that didn't work and advise me to use xperia companion to fix the issue.</P><P>Xperia companion tells me to turn off the phone, press down volume and wait for onscreen prompt from the computer. When I do this, there is no prompt&nbsp; the phone stays off.
