Hi I am a vulnerable adult and need my phone with me at all times. Ive only had this phone a short while when all of a sudden screen started freezing! then it came back and was fine, then hour later touch screen wouldnt work at all.

Sent it into Sony who claim it has oxidization and is not repairable and it must have been near water. only water it may have been near is rain! Thats ridiculous tho. Do I have any redress, only purchased in July and by September was back with them. In all my years of having phones never had this happen.

Not even convinced its my phone inners as theres no print on board saying IMEI number!

The symptoms and the comment of oxidisation all indeed point to water damaged device.

Unfortunately, mainboards are pretty much the most costly item in a device and can often lead to a review of "beyond economical repair"

I would call and see what they can offer you cost wise on any possible replacement or if any anything can be done.
