Phone number problem

I've had this phone for a while, and the issue has only recently presented itself. I had a problem receiving an activation code from tesco mobile for their app, so I had to do some troubleshooting and found out that my mobile number had changed in the About Phone section. I tried calling Tesco Mobile first, who explained it was a problem that required me to reset my phone back to factory settings. I did this, but after the full reset, the incorrect number was still showing in the About Phone section. I'm going to call tesco mobile again, but I sincerely doubt they will have a fix for me, as they told me it would be a problem the phone manufacturer needs to sort. Something about a default number the device ships with?

SOLVED EDIT: The solution for this was that apparently my phone had been blocking numbers without me knowing. So I did receive the activation codes, I just couldn't see them until the number was unblocked.
