topic won't charge or turn on in Z Series

won't charge or turn on

Hello. So i got Sony Xperia z1 or z2 not sure. And when i plug the phone the phone is in constant reboot i just see the SONY text and the phone turn off and do that over and over. There is also red light that turns on and off with the screen i dont know what to do please help. Thanks

Just to be 100% sure, you are referring to the Xperia Z1/Z2 NOT the Xperia XZ1/XZ2 right?

Remove any SIM and SD cards > connect the phone to a wall charger > press and hold the power button for 10 seconds > let it charge for an hour or so

After that, keep it off > on a computer instal Xperia Companion > run XC > follow the steps > repair the phone (Keep the phone off) > report back.

I tried connecting it to a wall and all it does is the red light comes on the SONY logo shows and it shuts down and do the same thing over and over basically it wont charge. And its a Z2

Try to force shutdown the device by pressing and holding the power button and the volume up key until the device vibrates 3 times, that will make the device completely off.
