Xperia Z charging issues when in cradle

Hello,

Since a few weeks I'm having issues when trying to charge my Xperia Z in the cradle.

Everything works fine when using USB direct (on power, PC or car).

The phone detects he is in the cradle and shows the charging icon.

First several minutes seeing increase in battery percentage.

But after some time, charging seems to stop and battery even discharges.

Any tips or tricks that might help ... are welkom.

My Xperia Z is running 4.2.2 build 10.3.1.A.2.67.

If the charging works flawlessly via micro USB but not via the cradle I suspect something may be faulty with the cradle.

Make sure that the cradle connectors on the phone are clean, but if that's not the problem I suggest that you contact your local support team to have the cradle fixed.

i have the same problem with my xperia zl, it is charging but before at 5 minutes the charge is stop

I've found out that the usb-connector either on the cradle or on the cable is a little sensitive to movement, so sometimes I have to jiggle the cable a bit to get it to charge.

I consider this a wear and tear issue after some months of usage and bringing it with me so I haven't cared about this. The backup solution is to use the cable directly on the phone. Micro USB connectors are thin and fragile.

I'm having the same trouble and my charge cradle just sits on the desk. Did a software repair (and lost my apps). Doesn't say much for Sony quality!
