Xperia Z Update Three UK

Hi,

I bought an Xperia Z with Three UK on launch day and as yet have not been able to get any update i.e. 10.1.A.1.434 let alone the latest 10.1.1.A.1.253 release, so I am still stuck on 10.1.A.1.350. I have tried all methods of update, OTA, PC Companion and Sony Update service. Is there something wrong with my handset or have there been no updates released for Three UK??

sadly you'll have to wait till three uk approves the update to the xperia z owners where as an sim free unbranded xperia z will get updates fast as im already on the 10.1.A.1.434 as i decieded to take the leap and get an unlocked and unbranded xperia z from phones 4u on my o2 uk contract and its the best move i made and with no network bloat ware

Thanks for the reply guys.

I guess my question is really (which onlhy Sony and Three have the answer too) is has there been a release for Three and my phone isn't getting it for some reason??

Amazingly I tried my phone on the Sony Update Service this evening and have now updated to the .253 firmware :smileyhappy::smileyhappy::smileyhappy:

Excellent, can you check this

camera > settings > SCN auto blur do you see any issues or dark bars on the picture?

No issues outside in bright daylight, will try it again later indoors and let you know if there are any issues.

this is what i don't get if you've got the .253 firmware update and your phone is locked to the three uk network but yet i upgraded throught phones 4u on the o2 network but have an unlocked and unbranded phone with an unlocked bootloader and yet when i check both pcc and sus it tells me that my phone is upto date

There does seem to be a lot of consistency missing, I bet other people on the three network got the 434 update when I didn't...
