Xperia Z5 too low ringtone volume

Hello all,

I was using Xperia Z5 almost 3 month and was very glad with my phone until i get 6.0.1. Now i have very big problem with my phone, it is doesn't have stereo speakers anymore.

When i listen music or watch video or play game sound volume is normal but it not balanced top speaker very lounder than bottom speaker and worst part is that when someone call me my ringtone is really really too low it not possible to hear it.

I try to repair my phone with Sony Comp. it didn't work.

Most probably if i can't find a solution for it i will buy another phone and i will never buy any Sony phone because i was have exactly same problem from my previews Xperia Z3+ thats why i bought Z5 but i have again the same problem.

I have z5 for over than 7 months i saw this problem when water gets in it the sound can be low for hours only,, but i am really glad with everything in it

No it is not because of this also my phone never get any water everything happend after i install 6.0.1

Also sound is not low at all times, it is low only when someone call me (ringtone is have low volume of sound) but on youtube music or spotify normal only from these applications sound is not balanced top speaker is lounder then botton speaker

Yeah i can confirm that issue, seems to be a bug in the software controlling the bottom speaker. It's very dumb, hope Sony will fix it in a few days. My Device was coming home today from the Repairservice and they have updated the device to 6.0.1

Don't we have solution for it ?

I read somehing like calibration for speakers and for to do it you need listen music like 45 min that i it will calibrated but i don't know is it real or not

I've been using Z5 for a good while now and the incoming call ring volume is too low. I've maxed out every possible volume slider but still it is really quiet.

With Z5C I was able to cheat with a little trick: once I selected the ringtone I was able to use the volume + button on increase the volume, it would make the ring tone louder even when the normal volumeslider had been maxed out earlier. The same trick is not working in the Z5, but it really appears to me that it is a software bug.

Has it always been like this with Sony phones? The volume level of any given software is much lower than on other phones I've used. Is there any 3rd party app I could use to increase the incoming call volume?

I think all high range phones are like this from Sony side also i have Z5 Premium. (Also i have same problem for Z5P but it didn't decreased too much as Z5)

Try turning on clearaudio+ and dynamic normaliser is sound settings. This increases volume

Helloe everyone...i have been using my sony for almost 5 months and after the final update i found that Calling Ringtone Decrease Automatically,sometimes i can't even hear my mobile ,i always find the ringtone calling volume setting low any solution?

I have the same problem & I tried to fix it with the Xperia Companion but with no hope, I contacted & sent many mails to the Sony support but I received a very strange answer which is the error I received from the companion program is related to my mobile model E6653 is with one sim only & not dual sim & they advised me to refer to the buyer I wonder how ??
I have international guarantee valid till July 2017
I need to find a solution as I have used it for only 2 months.

Well, I can't explain how BASIC function of the phone won't work properly after a couple of updates, or it's just me and another guy on XDA?
On both phones (due to same chassis) Z3+ and Z5 after 6.0.1 incoming ringtone volume is became EXTREMELY low, even in silent room. And it's just an unexplainable bug, 'cause when you for example pick up ringtone it's start to play normal and then after 0.5s FADE OUT. Music, videos sounds normal (lower than Z2/Z3 but acceptable). Out of the box with 5.1.1 ringtone volume was OK also.
Forward it to the devs as soon as possible!

(and Yes, Factory Reset and Repair without effect)

Agree, I have same problem too from the beginning. Also mp3 media playing is same; too low sound. It is got 3 times worse after android 7; now its nearly mute.

I am desperately waiting a software update to fix too low sound problem.

I have noticed that, sound is very well on all other applications except "Sound / Ringtone".
I can play all mp3's very well in "Music" app. The sound quality is quite good.
Only "Sound / Ringtone" setting have problem, something limits the audio volume, but you can
hear the real volume at the beginning for half second.

Greeting From Indonesian Folks,, same problem here, even after nougat 7.1.1 the low ringtone Volume bug still exist,.. other aplication that required the speaker are OK, like music video, an etc,,
