rcahandler stopped working

Every time I restart my Z5 this message comes up " Unfortunatly com.sonymobile.rcahandler has stopped working"

I tried force stopped and and cleared data, then restart and came up with "Unfortunatly com.sonymobile.crashmonitor.system has stopped working"

So force stopped and cleared data on both, and went back to the rcahandler one.

Then the style cover stopped working as well, I think this working again after a few restarts.

Is phone a lemmon?

Could you try if this also happens if you restart to safe mode?

I would suggest you send the logs to the devolopers in a PM.

But this seems to be problem with the Sony Homescreen.

Did you get any sence to this? I have same problem, even though it not a big problem as it only happen few times when booting its still annoying.

This has started happening to me too for the past few months but I don't see any solution to it and my phone has continued to get slower. Not good for an international phone and a flagship phone bought November 2017

I have the same problem. Sony XZ. Is there a way to fix it?

Also telephone started to work slower and battery is discharged faster

Hello,

Any help is appreciated. I got the same problem on my XZ and it's really annoying. I've followed the instruction suggested by SONY but the problem not sorted out. SONY have to find a way to fix this. Looks like kind of a bug exists. Thank you.

I am experiencing same issue on my xz5 since i upgraded to the latest version of nougat 32.4.a.1.54.

Moreover my phone is always overheating.

I am having this problem too. In addition to my battery discharging quickly and the phone getting slower, I no longer can use mobile hotspot.

Same here!!!! It overheats and restarts when battery gets around 20/25%!!!!! ITS REALLY ANNOYING.

One of the configurable boot system apps that are able to be disabled are either disabled, or have the incorrect permissions or been restricted for data

I can't remember which combination starts it, but when I was writing a guide i haven't posted I was able to control the 2 crashes that occur at first unlock from boot. Rcahandler and crashmonitor.

I'm actually still in the middle of finding the exact app that starts crashes for my main device when i try to check data usage.. Settings will crash, until i open what's new or support, or one of the Sony boot apps that's linked to the google play services for usage and error reporting... I have almost all apps restricted for data and permissions, so i have to back track the steps to find the right combination.

When ever I get this crash, rcahandler and crashmonitor will always crash at startup

It also looks like each page fragment doesnt talk to the next or other data isnt shared fast enough ot something... The number of apps that are unrestricted for my device is 1, but if i check that menu, it will always take about 2 to 3 seconds to update... Some times i need to toggle data saver like in this example.

I think this gives more visualising for the intricate linking everything has... But i know for certain, if this crash occurs, my next boot after it occurs the first time, and every boot after will trigger a rcahandler and crashmonitor crash, but you can see it took me about 5 minutes to get it working trying to find an app that will trigger what ever the **bleep** it needs

Here is a little example of my sequence of events for the Main Settings crash
