topic WH-1000XM3 sound from only one ear when turned on in Portable Audio

Hi.

My WH-1000XM3 headphones only have sound on the right earcup when the power is turned on.

I don't think it is a hardware issue with the left side, as when they are plugged in with the headphone jack both sides work for audio. However if I turn the headphones on for noise cancellation, sound is lost in the left ear again (whether using bluetooth or aux).

I have tried multiple factory resets and it doesn't solve the issue.

Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

Have you tried the headphones with different devices just to test them?

If you have already tried resetting them without any luck then its probably

best to contact Support

Hey there,

This might be a far-fetched idea, but did you possibly choose mono instead of stereo? You might want to check that, and also test it with different devices.

Hope it helps.

Where is it even possible to choose mono. My own WH-1000XM3 headphones have the same problem as the OP's, unless I use a wired connection in which case both sides work perfectly, so I know it isn't a fault with the left speaker. Please advise what steps I need to follow to fix this problem which effectively renders my headphones a single mono earpiece when connected via bluetooth. I have performed numerous factory resets and connected to various devices with no joy.
