Issue with Brigthness after updating Bios (R0162F0)

I've updated the bios on my vaio laptop PCG-GRT816M with the new version R0162F0.
The installation seemed to be concluded succesfully but at the next start up I immediatelly noticed the following issue:

- Brightness of the screen was set to maximum and cannot be changed (brightness button on keyborad not responding)
- The volume buttons on the keybord don't work any more

If someone has experienced similar problem, please tell me.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I am not sure as to why a Bios updated should cause this problem but the usual remedy for both these issues is to re-install the utilities. If you have C:\Utils\Utils.exe then run this, otherwise you can download the file from Vaio-Link(pre-installed Utilities).
