Hello, i´m from spain and I have a sony vaio VGN FS315S, is an 1,8GHz, 1GB ram, 100GB HDD,..., an a MATSHITA UJ-840D DVD RW.

Yesterday update the MATSHITA UJ-840D firmware from vaio update, but when install the new firmware and reboot, windows detect the MATSHITA UJ-840D as a new hardware and want to install the drivers but I don´t have this.

Anyone known where I find the drivers for MATSHITA UJ-840D ??????

Buenas, soy de españa y hace poco compré un portatil SONY VAIO VGN FS315S y mi problema es que tras actualizar el firmware del DVD MATSHITA UJ-840D y reiniciar, windows detecta el DVD MATSHITA UJ-840D como un nuevo hardware y me pide sus drivers y no los encuentro por ningun lado.

Si alguien sabe donde conseguir los drivers de este lector le agradecería que me dejase la dirección donde se encuentren los drivers.

apparently this drive is close to useless and there is no support

I seem to remember replying to this a couple of days ago…..

The drivers for the optical drive are provided by the Windows operating system. If the 'found new hardware wizard' is having trouble finding the drivers then point it in the direction of C:\Windows\inf.
