topic Warranty???? in PCs & Accessories

OK here the thing i have damaged my notebook and iam willing to go and get it sorted but if i pay for it and go to a small company that not linked to sony will it kilol my warranty?

Yes, it would.
It's really a catch 22 situation, as Sony will probably charge you more....

Mmmm Better get it back to Sony then.

Maybe your household insurance will cover it.

I had a quick read through the warranty and it says

sony do not cover and damager caused by repair of a thrid party

So you DEFINATELY need Sony to look at this if you want your warranty to be honoured...

i have emailed sony as at closer look at the warranty it says

sony warranty does not cover damages or changes

caused by repair or attempted repair by someone who is not sony or asn member

If you can get a Sony approved repairer or ASN member then there's no problem with having it fixed closer to home, but make sure you get some paperwork from them.
