PCG-GRT896SP DVD Burner - compatible dvd problem?

hey folks,

lately i bought a bunch of TDK DVD + R discs in order to burn backups... i am using nero as my burning software... for whatever strange reasons i was NOT able to use any of those DVDs at all... i thought that i could use any DVD with my drive or am i mixing things up here? doesn't the dvd drive support +/- dvds? or do i have to only use certain DVDs when i wish to burn? could anyone maybe shed some light into this for me please?

On the spec it says +, so there should be no problem there.

Have you ever been able to burn DVDs?

hey,

yeah, actually i was able to burn a dvd before without any difficulties... i did use a fujifilm dvd +rw... hmm, so i guess theoretically it should all be fine... i will stop by the store and get me a new bunch of dvds from a different brand... lets see if that works than...
