Hi there,

I've just brought a PCG-K315Z, my first Vaio notebook! Very pleased so far:smileygrin: However I have noticed that I have 2 local drives: C & D.

Is this usual with Sony??

Also, being a P4 3gig I had kinda expected it to be a little quicker. I hope it has been installed properly.

Any help is very usefull.

Cheers

It is normal indeed. It's not actually two hard drives it's just one thats been 'partitioned' which basically means split into two in Windows. It tends to speed things up a little. I use it just to keep say games and work separate, but most people tend to recommend keeping Windows on a separate partition from your programs for a speed boost. I don't take much notice but I may be missing out on something spectacular.
