recently my notebook was reinstalled by my friend, he install a windows xp professional instead of the original home edition, i found a problem, i can not play DVD - Rcorderable disc(4.7 GB), anybody can tell me why? thank you:smileycry:

You need to install a DVD player program such as PowerDVD or WinDVD.

There is also an excellent open source (free) player called VLC which plays nearly everything - see this site it will play DVDs as well.

By the way delia, just in case it wasn't clear you usally have to install one of the two programs Rob mentioned before trying out a good free one because they contain a few handy 'things' to get your drive working which the smaller free ones don't.
