Hi There

The problem im having is that my W1 dvd drive does'nt want to burn data/media to any cd. I used dvd-rw and cd-rw and no luck so i went out and bought a pack of sony cd-rw and still no luck. i went to vaio link and i downloaded the latest firmware from them and still no luck.

Any ideas will be most helpful.

Try using DVD-R or CD-R instead of the read/write disks and see if they burn OK.

There is normally no real advantage in using RW media these days because the read-only media is so inexpensive.

Also, make sure that the speed of the media matches the speed of your burner because high speed media in slow drives can cause problems.
