VGN-A295HP -> Problems with DVD-RW

I have just bought a new sony laptop with a dual layer DVD-RW and it does not eject using the big eject button. just the little one on the front of the drive.

There is a little orange lite glowing under the dvd drawer front permenantly.

Is this a hardware fault, should I return it or call the support line?

Is this something really stupid I am missing?

Make sure you install the UTILS.EXE before returning it, you could fix it.

Its found on the recovery CD and on www.vaio-link.com

Thanks for the reply, I have run utils.exe, but it locks up at 91% installed......
I cannot run it fully, maybe this is the problem?

Have you installed Alcohol 120%?

If so, make sure you set the DVD as the primary device not some virtual disk.
