VGN-Z21ZRN HUGE trouble

I've a problem - after the clean Win7 32 bit installation and then after installing all drivers and utilities from the offsite, I don't have some features, e.g. when I turn the button from Stamina to Speed - nothing happens (notebook switches it only after reboot). Next, when I press Fn+F2, or Fn+F3, or Fn+F4, or Fn+F5, or Fn+F6, or Fn+F7 nothing happens (but there might be screen notes that e.g. screen light is decreasing [Fn+F5]).
I've installed all drivers (and utilities) properly, the BIOS version is R2170M3, so NVIDIA driver is OK.

In device manager there is one thing which doesn't work correct.
It is Base System Device = PCI bus 11, device 4, function 4

I can not find driver for it

Can somebody help me, please?

Hi kulik1998 and welcome.

The Base System Device is almost certainly the Memory Card Reader not installed properly.

I think your problem may be that you have reinstalled the Windows 7 drivers and utilities but these dedicated Windows 7 drivers are not all that you need! You also have to install the originally installed Vista drivers if there is not a new Win7 driver available.

Try installing the 3 Ricoh Memory Card drivers from your Originally Installed drivers here: -

Check you have the Sony Firmware Extension Parser (SFEP) installed also SPIC - look in 'Human Interface Devices' in Device Manager.

For the function keys try reinstalling the following Win7 drivers in order from here:

1. Sony Shared Library
2. Setting Utility Series
3. Vaio Event Service

Does everything else work?

I've reinstalled those utilities in order you've told me. And everything is fine!
About the Base System Device - again you were right!
