Connect to Humax Didi box recorder or TV

Hi all, I have a Sony Viao VGN-515s laptop and would like to connect to my tv to play movies i have downloaded. can any one tell me what cable and were I can buy it?

Hi adrutt,

This will depend on the connections on your Vaio and on the connections on your TV.

Some older Vaios have a 'TV-Out'
Some Newer Vaios have S-Video or Composite Video out
Some TVs have a PC (VGA) input
Most newer models do not have a TV-Out and need an adapter from the VGA (monitor) output and the TV video-in. Something like these: - VGA to TV Converter Box

Can you look at your Vaio model again - you have not given a correct Vaio model. It will be something like VGN-FS515M.

Please also look at your TV and let us know if it has Composite Video-In (Y/R/W phono sockets), S-Video-In or a Scart socket.

Hi Bencogo,

You are right (obviously), my vaio is actually a VGN-FS515E.
My tv has only a scart connection although my humax has both scart and the same connection, male on humax to female on sony laptop which is located just below the power cable connection on my laptop. Your redirect to amazon was not very clear as im unable to destinquish what im actually looking for.Looks like a 15 pin plug with the middle row of 5 pins offset to the right.

Does this make it any clearer?
