BRAVIA KDL40RD453BU does not always turn on

Hello

I have a SONY - BRAVIA KDL40RD453BU 40" LED TV which does not always turn on from standby from either to the TV button or the remote control.

I have to turn it off at the wall socket and then back to be able to actually turn the tv on.

Is this a know issue?

I have read that if there is a drop in voltage it can cause issues - but its getting anoying i have to keep moving furniture to get to the socket.

It is plugged into a proper wall socket with no poer / surge protectors.

I've never had issues with other equipment.

Any help greatly appricated...

I think if it persists it will be going back to the shop.

Hi there

The first couple of things to try is:

If that still fails and as its a new TV, I would contact the retailer you purchased it from to arrange either an exchange or warranty repair
