I have a Xperia 1v the last Sony phone I will buy in 15 years, I loved the 4k screen and the aspect ratio it has, but the 1 vi was a total disappointment a downgrade with an equal price if not a bit more expensive. The 1v will probably still be working 5-6 years from now since I gave my grandson my old Xperia 1 which he is on 24/7. He is only 8 so I'm surprised it is in one piece! But it is as fast as it needs to be for him to play fast games etc. such a shame Sony!

Hi @Michaellepage64, the 4k screen has been removed from the new Xperia 1 VI in order to increase the battery life time which is incredible in my opinion. The Xperia 1 VI is also brighter than the previous model. I hope that Sony at least up the resolution to 1440p and bring back the cinema pro app with improvements. They should have the capability to record 6K 60fps in the 21:9 aspect ratio in HDR or 4K 60fps with a much better HDR experience than before, with bigger sensor sizes - the Xperia flagship 1 series does not have 1" or larger sensors when the rest of the market do. It would really set the Xperia apart and cater to the professionals this current "Xperia 1" lineup was building up to. Looking forward to the Xperia 1 IX, really miss cinema pro - similar to yourself after the Xperia 1 V haven't had another Xperia, hope to change that next year as I do believe they are working to find a middle ground between professionals and everyday users.
