I have an a200 which has started to vibrate audibly on start-up or when a battery is changed, also, photo subjects appear low and left despite having been framed in the centre prior to shutter release. Any ideas please?

Frank, that does not sound too good. Does this happen with every lens? I can assume you have had this for a while so can rule out the anti dust mechanism.
If your image is shifting, this could indicate some sort of fault. Since the image coming from the lens is circular, it should happen with every lens that it places on the body so would be something that would need to be looked at by a repair engineer.
Thanks for that. Yes it happens with each lens. I'll have to find a Sony repair shop. Many thanks for your help.
Easiest way if you are in the UK is to book it in via the registration form found on the link below.

Hope that helps.
Thanks for that, I'll give it a try.
Cheers.
Reminds me of a Sony Alpha 200 that i bought in supposedly working order off of E-Bay. Shoot violently when switched on & the Super Steady Shot scroll bar kept flashing.
I already had the same camera so i knew it wasn't right & after a lot of research i found that the only solution was to send it to Sony for repair so i got a refund from the seller, luckily.
The sensor stabilisation has failed, so the sensor is off-centre. Common problem unfortunately, expensive repair.
