Downloading videos from my Sony a7ii to my iPad.

I used to be able to easily download my videos from my a6000 to my iPad using a card reader. Now I have an a7ii and it will transfer my photos, but not videos. I have tried using play memories, but I can’t seem to get in. Any suggestions other than play memories. Does the type of photo card matter?

You can transfer photos and videos wirelessly using the Imaging Edge Mobile app. You can only transfer MP4 videos though.
