Hi @Schnauzervillage
That's an interesting idea. We've passed it along for future considerations.
A99 and 2 x A99ii.
Following the release of the A1. Could Sony release a body which has just a 'still' image capability rather than 'still' and video.
How many camera owners actually use both those capabilities in their cameras to an equal skill level? Hence, with the A1, customers are encouraged to buy a function which will never be used to its fullest capabilities. It will be interesting to see how sales of the A1 progress, given its price. Had there been a bias to favour one form of photography to the other in its design, then maybe its price could have been lower and the preferred genre of either still or video photography could have received an even better product.
A second suggestion...... make a camera body for those people with larger hands, such as fixing an E bayonet mount onto an A99 body.
Thanks @mischof67 for the suggestion. These are also good points.
We encourage this level of feedback and are happy to read every single word of it. Please keep it coming if you have more to add.
No problem.
Perhaps Sony would like to read the comment I have previously made about the future of A mount and being open with their existing owners?
There are a lot of customers out there who own A mount equipment who aren't sure if they have bought their last A mount body and if the system has been discontinued. There are a lot of assumptions being made following the release of the LA-EA5, it doesn't take much effort for Sony to be a bit more open and honest to those who have invested a lot of money in the equipment and are reluctant to move to E mount because of comfort and other issues.
We've passed your feedback through the proper channels for future considerations. We carefully read every word of feedback we get as we understand the value of the user input.
