Hello

I have a Sony A-390 and I'm looking for a lens that would be best for taking panoramic photos of landscape that will fit the camera mentioned.  Oh and not cost me the earth would be great as well.

This probably won't be exactly what you are looking for to start off with, but it may give you some food for thought and it doesn't seem too expensive:

I have seen a couple of these online before and they basically allow you to take a 'super-wide angle' picture with a fish-eye effect. The latter may not fit in to your plans but at that price it may be fun to give it a go. You may get some interesting landscape shots with this or something similar.
