65X85C local dimming or not
Dear All,
Does anyone know if the 65X85C supports local dimming ? it says the 65inch version of x85C is direct LED backlit, but the dimming type is frame dimming. I thought only the edge-lit TV is frame dimming. If the TV is direct LED backlit, it would be local dimming.
Thanks

I've to correct myself: form the specs 65" and 75" version are direct LED http://infoprodotti.sony.it/contents/instance1/files/document/2887KDX8505C.pdf . From what I've read on the internet in any case, spotting fewer LED than a full array backlight no local dimming is possible with this technology.

Thanks.
so eventhough the 65inch version of X85C is direct LED backlit, local dimming is still not possible? because the backlighting panel is not a full array ?
