I purchased a Sony KD 50X75WL on the 7 June 2024! Great TV until "IT" decided I needed 'Acoustic Description' on program! In the system it clearly states 'NORMAL' yet I constantly hear a person explaining every scene in my recorded programs! IT IS INFURIATING! Trying to speak to Tech support is like trying to photograph a UNICORN!
Dealing with Sony is a hair tearing experience!😱😱😱
Its Audio Description.
You mention you are only getting Audio Description on your recorded programmes and not live TV
is this the case
Are you using the Sony TV to record to a USB HDD or are you using a separate recording device.
If you are using a separate recording device have you checked that the Audio Description setting on
that is set to OFF. If it is ON you will get Audio Description regardless if the Sony TV Audio Description
is set to Normal.
If you are certain it is your TV that is responsible have you tried a restart, press the power button on the remote control for five seconds and then press restart.
Next would be to try a full power cycle, turn the TV off, unplug and leave for two minutes or more and then turn
on again.
If the issue is still not cleared have you tried a factory reset.
Make a note of all your settings and the passwords you use for accounts you use via your TV.
Is your TV up to date, check to see if there is new software available, install and see if that clears the issue.
Don't waste your time trying to photograph unicorns, they don't exist.
