Streaming app video fault

Does anyone else have an issue with picture playback failure on streaming apps from a Sony Android TV?

 

I have a KD-49XE8396 that suddenly developed a fault that means video played from any app (YouTube, Netflix, BBC Iplayer e.c.t.) breaks down after a few seconds into multiple duplicated images.

 

When contacting Sony Technical they’ve suggested a few things. Mainly rebooting the TV which has been done multiple times and checking the Apps and software are up to date which they all are. Additionally I’ve tried different types of internet connection such as wired, and multiple wireless networks, non of which has worked. 

Other non streaming apps and internet connection work on the TV. The fault only occurs on video playback from streamed media.

 

We’re currently playing internet content through a Xbox attached to the TV via HDMI which works fine.

 

I can’t see any information on this fault so wondered if I’m the only one? Hoping someone will have a fix!

You didn't mention performing factory reset, did you try this?
