Hi all,
Could someone please help me.:smileyconfused:
I have recently bought a sound bar to go with my TV.
I have high-speed HDMI from my TV to my sound bar connected through the HDMI ARC inputs, on the TV and sound bar.
A high-speed HDMI from my PlayStation 4 to my TV.
Then I have an optical sound cable from my PlayStation 4 to my sound bar.
I would be very grateful to know if this is the right way to set it up, as I went on the internet to check and there are many conflicting views about setups
In addition, what would be the best Sony PlayStation sound setting to use?
My Equipment
Sony TV KDL-55W829B
Sony Sound Bar HT-CT370
Sony PlayStation 4
Thanks
Richard
Hi there
Your almost there Remove the optical cable completely. Its only needed if your TV does not support the ARC feature, and would not work with the PS4 anyhow (with that connection anyway).
There are two ways to connect this up:
First way
Second
Hope this helps.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.:smileyhappy:
I have now removed the optical cable completely.
Now my connection is as you explained in you “First Way”
Is there any advantage of connecting my PS4 to the CT370 via HDMI rather than to my TV?
Thanks
