sony xdr-ds12ip junk docking station

my sony xdr-ds 12ip is a load of junk, 1 month out of warrenty and the iphone won't play when docked in to it and last week the alarm turns itself off so now i l'm up too early worrying if the alarm will work or not! too expensive to just buy another. Does Sony care enough to replace?
