This is my third and last Experia. To be honest it is useless and not worth the £100+ paid for it. The worst thing is the useless battery life. You can't go anywhere without taking your charger with you. I replaced my old Xperia with this new one in the hope the battery life would be better. In fact it is worse. Then with it turning itself off from time to time. My advice is buy a different phone. Cheap but not cheerful, avoid, worth spending more money and buying a better one. Honest and frank appraisal.
Hi @townie1978, sorry to hear about this.
Which device and Android version do you have? That way I can move your post to the correct board here at our Support forum and other users will have an easier time finding it, in case they have the same question. You can find this information in Settings > (System) > About phone.
Is it only when you use the device that you experience a faster battery loss than your previous device, or is it also when you aren't using the device, for example when you are sleeping or the device is just idle on table/in your pocket?
A good place to start it to see which applications/services are using the battery in your device, so charge it to full (100%) and then use it as normal down to 15-20% and go into Settings > Battery > Advanced/Show battery usage (this will depend on the Android version). Now you will see a list of the applications and services that have used the battery since it was fully charged the last time.
You can either take a few screenshots of this menu and upload them here (power button > Take screenshot) or check for yourself and see if something that you are barely using is in the top of the battery usage.
Let me know how it goes!
