As per subject really.
I gave up on screen mirroring / Miracst etc because I have discovered that these are no longer available in the latest versions of Android (so not Sony's fault).
On advice from Sony, I bought a "Chromecast dongle" as I was told that I can "cast" stuff to that from my Xperia L2.
On both my Laptops (one Windows and one Linux) I can now simply hit the "cast" button in Google Chrome and anything shown on that (Youtube etc) appears on my TV.
However, I do not seem to have a "cast" button anywhere in Google Chrome on my Zperia L2.
Despite a bit of "Googling around" I am still a bit stuck with this.
Can anyone help please?
p.s. = I would rather do this via the "official" routes rather than mess about with unofficial 3rd party apps.
Having same problem.... Other xperia brands seem to have an option in the software to toggle on/off screen mirror option ( or 3 dots menu in cast ).. Which i cant find in my L2..
Aye, I still havn't got to the bottom of this on my L2 and asking Sony got me no further on.
I have taken to using my old phone to do this, where any sort of screen mirroring (Miracast or Chromecast) is DEAD EASY.
I cannot for the life of me understand why one cannot do this with the L2.
If I had known this, I would have not bought it!!
It's worth noting that the L2 does NOT have the latest version of Android. It was released with an old version and Sony apparently has no plans to update it. Now that Pie is rolling out, the L2 is now two versions behind.
