Corrupt sd card

Suddenly the sd card does not work. I have reformatted. Sundisc. Please help

Hi @Cltrx, sorry to hear about this.

Do you have another device that you can try the SD card in, or if you can connect to it to a computer and see if it can be read there. What we need to figure out is if the SD card is corrupt, or if it's only your device that says that it's corrupt.

You can also try with a different SD card in your device, if you have a spare one or if you can borrow one from a friend, colleague or family member.

I don't have an extra phone and can't get hold of a friends. Is there any rescue programs or a repair method.

That is great news! You may want to backup the content on the SD card when you have the opportunity, in case the SD card is on it's last leg!

Regarding your name, if you have logged in with another account, you will be asked to create a new account, so you most likely choose another log in method this time.

Try to connect your SD card to the computer.

If it doesn't work - use that algorithm how to fix corrupted memory card.

If your SD card work on the computer - save it's files and try to repair it with chkdsk. If it doesn't work - format it with diskpart.

We had a similar issue with our Sony phone where it corrupted the memory card and in the end after trying Multiple software recovery tools and two other data recovery companies used a company called Recoverfab in Germany. These recovered all the photos/videos from the SD card and were quick and very helpful.
