Ear speaker not working

Hi, Is there a fix for this problem. My earspeaker has suddenly stopped working! Even in safe mode.
I can't, of course, hear a caller!

Hello everyone,

I hear some disturbance voice but not the person's voice through earpiece when I had to answer a call. Phone speaker come's fine for videos/music but along with ear speaker even phone speaker doesn't work.

I tried software repair - no luck.

I tried smart connect - clear data -> no luck.

I tried Phone restart - no luck.

There are different tests to check ear speaker -> they all are passing BUT only on calls ear speaker and phone speaker doesn't work.

Any idea what could have gone wrong on my XPeria Z1?

Same problem here with Z3 mini. Tried all solutions but nothing worked so far. Can hear and talk to people via headset. Without that people hear me but I don't hear them and setting phone on speaker doesn't work either. Music, ringtone and buzzer all work fine. Anyone?

Nothing on this solutions worked tried all,  best is to download soundabout app and go to wired connection and uncheck aall of them voila amazing was furstrated

Sony Connect clear cacha and data.

Worked for me. I was just about to send it in for a repair.

To solve Ear speaker not working issue, try solutions in this thread.

For me, the below worked:

1. Plug in earphones to Xperia.

2. Play any music

3. Stop music & it should work.

Else try being on a call & use the Speaker and while sound is coming, switch to earphone. 

Also, try clearing the Data and Cache of Sony Smart Connect app found in Settings > Apps.
