I can't bypass the lock screen. I've tried everything. All the button combos (there is no home button), I tried the *#*#(multiple number series)#*#* in the emergency dialer, downloaded Sony Companion but apparently can't download Xperia Companion (It says it's not a Win32 application?) I've tried rebooting in Safe Mode, but that doesn't make a difference. I'm out of ideas and nothing that anyone else has posted works.
I have an older computer, Windows XL--could be the root of the problem, but I can't get around that. 😕 I just want to factory reset it so I can sell it to the kiosk at Wal-Mart.
Hi @BananaBoat, I am sorry to hear about this.
There is a second way to get access to your phone other than using Xperia Companion. If you have access to a computer with an internet connection you can use Google's service called Find My Device in order to reset the phone. Just log in using your Google account, click on the phone you want to reset and click on "Erase".
Please note though that this will trigger the anti theft-protection on the phone. So before handing it in to the retailer, please log in using your google credentials in the set up-menu.
Let me know if this helps and if you have any further questions, feel free to ask!
