Over the last few days my Xperia L1 has started behaving rather erratically. It randomly died one night and would not turn back on for several hours and did not respond to the charger or to the power button/power + volume up. When it did turn on there were some minor display problems ("wavy" pixels, pixel errors in the initial Xperia screen) but otherwise the phone was working and charging fine. Since then it has repeated this process of not turning on consistently: it does not generally respond to pressing the power/power + volume up buttons but when it does it switches on and then dies again. It takes several attempts to turn on, and when it does the phone is all functioning properly. The software is up-to-date and working as normal, and when the phone is switched on the battery is working fine, it hasn't discharged and it responds to the charger when I plug it in, it's just finding a way of turning the phone on!
Would these random deaths/lack of response to the power button be a hardware problem of some kind, something to do with the battery maybe? As far as I'm aware the phone hasn't been dropped or got wet, and I've had it about 18 months, so could it just be wear and tear? I hope someone can help!
