Choosing a tune for the alarm

I don't seem to be able to chose a tune for the alarm. When I got the phone I tried to do it a couple of times, choosing a song from my song list, however the tune was never changed and the default sound kept coming on when the alarm went off. Now the option to change the alarm sound is off on my phone's options.

Could someone please help me on this subject?

there isn't a way to change the alarm notification/song unless you use a third party alarm app

Go to alarm. Select the program alarm. Un-tick the style setting and alarm sound is ON. Now press alarm sound there u go...
