Hello there,
Last night I'm updating my XMP from GB to ICS using SUS twice. At the first update my previous setting is still there, then I do it again and all my previous settings and apps are back to the factory setting. It doesn't matter to me as I want to know the original of ICS. The problem is, no matter how I change the network setting, I only get "R" signal, never "E" and let alone "H". This is a kind of annoying since I love to get online and need to check email frequently to work.
Is there any suggestion what should I do? do I need to use the SUS again?
Thank you

if you want to downgrade you can take it to a sony service center or

I would say to use SUS again it might be a network coverage issue

would or wouldn't?
Before I get the update, I got a clear "H", but not after the update.
I even set it to "WCDMA only", and I still get "R". I try to confirm it using speedtest, and it's very slow.
Perhaps I'll downgrade to GB again, check the signal, and use SUS again.

Yes, I'm using that option now (wcdma preferred).
I think I'll downgrade using the 2nd option, I did that once though.
Thank you

Just wants to give a feedback.
Last night I downgrade my XMP to 042, root it, then goes back to ICS. When my xmp was on 042, I easily get "H", but when it's on ICS again, the same problem appears. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next update, if there is.
Thank you
Just a suggestion. the letter R shows when you are in roaming mode.
Thank you for the information,
