I should think this is a reasonable amount for the part, as the circuit board is one of the most expensive components. But, you might want to think that for twice that price, you can get a brand new TV. It depends on what TV you have, how old it is and whether you can afford more to get a new TV.

as drhowells has said, but also consider these facts, was the price quoted including fitting and VAT, is it an authorised repair centre that quoted this, and is there a guarantee for the repair?, the other thing is how old the tv is and how much you like it, in some cases it may make more sense to think about a new tv rather than repair an existing one, you should remember that any warranty given is on the replacement part not the whole tv so if anything else fails then your liable for that also. unless you can prove the new part caused the failure in the first place!.
