Wild Media Server MP4 Black Bands

Hi

I've using Wild Media Server (WMS) to stream to my Sony ex40713 & until now i've been happy with it.

I used handbrake to create a back up of a Blu-ray disk using mainly default setting (Audio changed)

the resulting mp4 payed  well using VLC on my PC.

So tried to watch it on the telly via WMS it played OK BUT  the image was only half the height of the screen the rest taken up by black bands.

so had to plug the PC into the Telly to play the mp4 and it worked with only slight black banding say 140px top and bottom.

Some mp4 info

Width	: 1 920 pixels
Height	: 800 pixels
Display aspect ratio	: 2.40:1

Has any one else seen this and resolved it?

Hi. What version of WMS are you using with this? You might need to check if there's an available update here. Good luck.

Also worth giving Homestream a go as its our media streamer and works very well with majority of codecs - checkout the sticky thread.
