Have just got a new sony vaio FS315M and there seems to be a buzzing coming from the back of the screen. Is this normal? My friend has the FS315S and does not have this sound. You can only really notice it when it is very quiet or if you put your ear to the back. I know this is probably me being very fussy but any advice would be appreciated. If this is a fault in some way i would like to get it fixed asap.
I have just found out that if the laptop is running on the mains there is no buzzing and if it is running on battery with FULL brightness there is no buzzing. If however, the brightness is lower than full, there is a buzzing sound.
